Has Satan hindered you?
Here is a prophecy for you:
The Lord sees the invisible things, even the battle that is set against you. Build your fortification in the realm of the spirit—PRAY even “more earnestly” and press into the provision and thus shall you release the Armies of heaven on your behalf. For you shall not need to fight in the natural. The inheritance of the Lord in your life shall not be devoured by the enemy; I will rebuke the devourer and be an enemy to your enemies even as you build the bulwark in prayer! Believe not every spirit but TEST the spirits; try the thoughts and bring your thoughts into agreement with mine and I will deal with that which would be a hindrance to your steps. Know that TESTING comes prior to RELEASE and DELAY prior to PROMOTION. I am the God of infinite resources and I have stored up My glory for the Latter End. You are a part of something greater than you understand. You are marching down the Main Boulevard of My purposes in the Earth and therefore the enemy sought to hinder your steps, but shortly the God of peace shall enable you to crush him under your feet.
Satan can, and does on occasion, hinder God’s choice servants. Paul said: “For we wanted to come to you–certainly I, Paul, did, again and again–but Satan blocked our way.” (1 Thess 2:18)
Why should the devil care so much about Paul and his whereabouts? Why take so much interest in keeping these three men from that particular group of believers? This leads us to observe what amazing importance hell attaches to the action of certain Christians. (Like YOU, perhaps?)
Some of you may ask, “Would the devil target little old me?” Yes, yes, he would.
Charles Spurgeon—a great and anointed preacher in the mid-1800's—knew the struggle of a true warrior and fought powerful devils in England, exchanging blows with the foul Prince of darkness.
Spurgeon wrote: “Here is the master of all evil, the prince of the power of the air, intently watching the journeying of three humble men; and apparently far more concerned about their movements than about the doings of Nero or Tiberius. These despised heralds of mercy were his most dreaded foes; they preached that Name which makes Hell tremble; they declared that Righteousness against which Satanic hate always vents itself with its utmost power.”
Remember this: if you are dangerous, he watches your path.
Spurgeon continued: “With malicious glance the arch-enemy watched their daily path, and with cunning hands hindered them at all points. It strikes us that Satan was desirous to keep these Apostolic men from the Church of Thessalonica because the Church was young and weak, and he thought that if it was not fostered and succored by the preaching and presence of Paul, he might yet slay the young Child.”
Spurgeon went on to tell his congregation, what is surely a word of knowledge for someone today:
“This very day, since you have been sitting here, torrents of the filth of Hell have been pouring through your soul. At this be not astonished, for there are some of us who delight in holiness, and are pure in heart, who, nevertheless, have been at times sorely tried with thoughts which were never born in our hearts, but which were injected into them—suggestions born in Hell, not in our spirits—to be hated, and to be loathed, but cast into our minds that they might hinder and trouble us.”
This is how you will know that you are on the right track:
1. Thoughts you don't want, assail you
2. Divine appointments are hindered
3. You are tempted to be vexed, hurt or doubt God
4. You read something like this and go—heck! That's ME!
5. You SMILE because you now know that as a member of the Royal Priesthood you are a Royal pain to the spirit realm assigned against you.
Note the word Paul used “HINDERED”….which is temporary. Persist! You've got Heaven watching and warring on your side. “Cast down—but not destroyed.”
Hindered but never stopped. You are near to the breakthrough.
